A Visual Guide to Men’s Watch

“I have a weakness for watches. I have to stop myself buying more. – Tom Jones”

A watch is the single most important accessory a man can own. A man's watch selection is often an extension of his own character. In this guide, I'll be showing you how to identify your own personal style when it comes to watches in addition to showcasing some popular watch choices in separate categories (Sports, Fashion, Business, Casual).

Quick Note: I'd like to mention that this article is by no means an authoritative guide as opinions can vary greatly in terms of fashion and taste. These are my own opinions. Let's begin:

WHAT WATCH IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Before we even look at the types of watches, it's important to grasp the concept that not every watch is compatible with every style. I do suggest having different watches for both work and play if your lifestyle calls for it or you simply like having variety.

Sports Watches

A sports watch is essentially a rugged timepiece that’s suitable for a variety of sports and physical activities. Sports watches are built to withstand shock, so they tend to be comprised of solid, attractive metals, such as stainless steel, and scratch- and break-resistant crystal glass.

SKMEI Military Watch - SKMEI watches have been gaining considerable popularity recently and is the bestselling sports watch on Lazada. They're priced a bit lower than popular brands, but offer a much nicer (in my opinion) aesthetic. They're becoming increasingly common among high school and college students.
Other than that, SKMEI’s line of watches is great for seeing if you like the style of a sports watch without fully investing into a more expensive brand.

Casio Illuminator- This watch is designed to be a casual, everyday watch for active men who want a reliable, multi-functional timepiece. The Casio Illuminator Watch is a smart choice for active men.

Casio Gshock - I've been seeing a lot of G-shocks watches around recently, so it is great to include this on the list. It's made from a rubber with black strap color. Like similar sports watches in its category, it comes in a ton of different colors and sizes.
Though sport watches are generally more easygoing in terms of style, designers such as Prada, Alexander McQueen and Salvatore Ferragamo have made their own luxurious takes on the classic bag.

Casual Business Watches

Even the best-dressed men can get tripped up when it comes to buying the right casual watch. Men's watches are complex, can be expensive and there are a lot of brands and types of them out there. So just what should you know when shopping for a casual watch? Well, you can start by looking at your wardrobe and your budget.
